Enjoyed that son et lumiè€re. Thanks. How fitting. Urged a carpe diem myself just before I received your post…especially good on yours: the beat of the background, the Genet angst, the words put in motion, time and place.
    All best,
    Jan

oops… Samuel Beckett not Genet I meant:
“They give birth astride of a grave, the light gleams an instant, then it’s night once more.”

    SAMUEL BECKETT, Waiting for Godot

I should have just said existential and left it at that…sorry for the goof. JC

Jan - No worries my friend. Thank you, I’ll take a proximity to Beckett’s angst (or Genet) on any day of the week.

Even if it’s an impossibly remote proximity…

the little things…the light on the wall when you opened the roof access door, that triple push of the elevator button…those things.

    I love you, man!

that’s funny…ever since watching the vid, I’ve been craving a cigarette. Just one. I notice all of the 7-11s now. Or maybe bum one off of someone at the bus stop.

    It has been years.

    Thankfully, it’ll pass by tomorrow…

Ben - Hope you’ve made it to day 8…. quitter. That actor would be me.
