Awesome!

Can I get you to say:

“Let’s go get some tacos”

at some point in the future? You even sound like Val Kilmer channelling Morrison. :)

Robert Bruce 08.09.06 at 5:58 pm

Yeah, if you pay me what Val made for that scene in “The Doors”. And do I have to gain weight, have a nervous breakdown?

You’ll get your line Clark… just pay attention, it’ll be when you least expect it.

And thanks for the comment on the vid, trying some things out here…

I like the cut to black for the actual poem.

Great vid Robert, writing about writer’s block is a nicely paradoxical way out of it. I blogged some of my own remedies a while back: here

Good stuff Robert as usual. Love your adventures in video.
Like Candice I dug the snap-to-black for the poem, though I was expecting a long slow fade into something disturbing.

Tom O'Leary 08.10.06 at 3:06 pm

I don’t know - I was somewhat distracted by the fade to black. I even tried to fix it. I think that I would have preferred to see a mason building a wall as the poem was recited. Love the poem though, especially “laying down the lines like a mason…an extraordinary one…” sweet.

BTW. Received my KGP tee the other day (the first one!) and must say that I’m thrilled. Great quality shirt and the message, well, it speaks for itself, doesn’t it.

All the best

Tom

Candice - I think I like it too. I ran it with the video and without, it just seemed to take away from the reading of the thing. And, there’s nothing more boring than watching someone read…

Mark - Like your tips, particularly:

6. Forget about being a writer.

The less I consider my self so, the better things seem to turn out. Which reminds me, I really need to change that title on the banner…

Tom-O - I was distracted a bit as well by it but, compared to the other options, it was the best choice. What I need is my own, full-time production crew… ugh, what a night mare that would be…

Glad the shirt works, thanks much for picking it up man. You make wise investments ;)

The poem on black screen is definitely appropriate, appropriate for any poem probably. Your editing is getting considerably better as well. Oh, on writer’s block…crack helps, sometimes.

O - I’ll stick with the beer my friend… I need to call you btw, hope you’re making it over there.
